This has nothing to do with the engine. If it were bad for anything I don't think it would be included in the Maintanance schedule for the car. It has to be done sooner or later. Even though I'm only at 30K the car is over 3 years old now. Plus with all the tracking that I have done I figure it was time. Another thing, when I called the dealer and asked them they said they usually just do it at 60K, but would go ahead and do it for me if I wanted. If it were bad for anything I don't think they would have offered this.

That article you posted talks about flushing the system backwards with cleaning solvents and other things. This is not what I had done. All they did was replace the transmission fluid.

Ahh so the dealer was just trying to yank me. I bought a set of engine filter for 30 bucks and changed it myself, prob gonna change my ac filter too. All their recommendations are crap.
