"Your warranty is in jeopardy!"

So I get a postcard from Infiniti at the beginning of this month saying I'm due for my 10,000 mile service...
Well I looked at the service schedule and there is no such thing as a 10k service so I chucked the card.
Now I get an email saying "Your car is overdue for service, your warranty may be in jeopardy"

I took it to the dealer for the first change, then switched up to PenzUltra myself at 7000 (500 miles early I know) and now I'm only at 8500 miles. Its been a year since I got the car but I was planning on changing my oil myself again at 11,500 and taking my oil to the dealer at 15,000 and having them put it in and change the cabin filter. (Injens = no OEM air filter and coupe = no rotation)

Are they for serious with this warranty BS? Do I have to report my oil changes to Infiniti or something?

That sounds like a post card from the dealer, not Infiniti.

Most dealers charge a lot for changing the cabin filter. It's so easy to DYI.

you should send them a card back that says "my business with you is in jeopardy!"

Infiniti of Annapolis. In particular, Pat the head service tech. I call him directly if I need to bring the car in. No BS, no nonsense.

Hahaha.

Sounds like something the dealers send to solicit people to go in for service. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

How can they flat out lie and make up a "10,000 mile service"

For the average car owner who doesn't perform or even know about their own maintenance schedule, they would likely just schedule an appointment and get charged for unnecessary things. That honestly sounds a lot like fraud to me. Send me post cards for 15,000mi service or 30k service sure, but to make up service intervals and send threatening emails?

In fact, so everyone can see what I am talking about. I just copied the URL of the image that was embedded in the email and pasted the text that accompanied it.

According to our records you have not brought your 2009 Infiniti G37 Coupe in for service since your purchase. If you have not yet had your Infiniti serviced elsewhere, please CLICK HERE or call (703) 322-3600 immediately.

Failure to perform regular factory recommended maintenance on your Infiniti could result in a voided warranty.

Despicable scare marketing tactics. I would have hoped that they were better than this sort of crap but I guess not. It probably scares a ton of business their way from those who aren't very car savvy and know that this is complete BS.

Pull your heads out of your butts Infiniti and step up your service game!!!

My old service rep at Infiniti Tysons told me not to come back for service until I got my tires changes. Regardless of if they were completely bald that is not something you say to a customer. Im never going back there again

Send that to Infiniti Corp and ask what's with the shady marketing tactics. My dad went straight to Nissan Corp after going around in circles with a local dealer. Nissan was very upset to hear about the unsatisfactory service that was being given.
