12k maintanence.

Hi all,

I'm almost at 12k and i got a maintanenece notification on my dash. Can anyone give me a heads up on what to do and the best way to do it? Not familiar with working with my own car.

Change your oil and filter. Change your air filters. Check all fluids and top off as necessary. Check belts, hoses, tires and pressure. Reset maintenance reminder. That's about it. Do it yourself for under $100.

^^^ Completely agree. I'm about to do my 1 year service myself and you CAN do it for well under $100.

This would be the 11250 mile service assuming you're on the 3750 schedule (unless you're in Canada so that changes which service you're at).

It would be the same as the first service - oil and filter required, inspection items not critical.

Would doing it yourself keep you safe under the warranty still?

Any guides out there on how to do those things yourself for the non-car people out there? :P Are we able to do all the service maintenances ourselves well?

i bought my eneos oil for 45 bucks, bought oil filter and gasket from infiniti dealership,

all together 60 bucks, then went to change oil myself, i HIGHLY doubt i had any problems with my hose, belt, break pad cuz its only the first maintenance... so i skipped that :P

Yes, unless you do something horribly wrong and your screwup turns out to be the cause of some problem with the car.

When you have maintenance done at anywhere other than the dealership you should keep receipts and log the mileage and date of the service. When you do it yourself, keep receipts for the materials and be sure to keep a record of what you did and you will be fine.
