Replacing Brake pads

did anyone do this? i searched the forum, but i didn't get anything.

OP, could you please change the thread title to "DIY wanted..." so that it's not misleading? I clicked expecting to find a brake DIY.

im at 15k n my brakes been squeeking since 11k. do I need new pads?

If it's the squeak that's an indicator of low brake pad level, then yes. We've always called that a "cricket". It's designed to always make a noise when you use your brakes as an indicator tat the pads are worn. It happens every time you brake. Take it in and have it checked if you can't do it yorself.

Yea you probably need them replace...question guys I have 7600 miles on mines n sometimes not everytime when im backing up my rear brakes squeak or "cricket"? Does this mean i already have worn brake pads?

That's probably when your car has been sitting overnight and developed a light coating of rust on the rotors. If it only happens each morning and then goes away, it's just rust. It's normal.

Thats exactly how mines are, it happens sometimes but goes away.

Wow, you guys must be brakin' like crazy or something. I'm at 28K miles and I don't have any squeeks coming from my brakes :duuno:
