what is the under car cover

sorry i didnt know where to put this and i didnt know what it is called but i changed my own oil sunday and there a plastic piece that cover it so i took it off and they had like so many screws. after i was done with the oil change i didnt want put it back on so i just left it off. what does it do and is it important? i would have to go find it if it is important cause i threw it the grass and it probably disappear by now.

Dude... Keep it on... Protects against road hazards man... And helps a lil with aerodynamics and stuff...

reallly? looks like im go find it tonight hopefully they did throw it away. if they threw it away where would i get a new one?

Not only does it protect from road hazards but also helps keep water and dirt out from the engine bay where you don't want it.

I'd get that back on ASAP.

use the split

you don't have to take it completely off to change the oil and filter. Next time, only remove the 4 rear screws. It has a hinged door in it. you can pull it down and use a light bungy to hold it outta the way while you drain the oil and change the filter. check it out.
