Air Filters -- what/where to buy

Its time to replace the air filters on my G37. What is everyone using and where are they getting them from?

I'd love to use the new Amsoil Nanofiber filters but I don't know what model to order or where to order them from. I see the 07 G35 sedan on the site but they do not list the G37.

Help ?

I'm very interested in the Amsoil Ea line as well.

I know the G37 isn't listed yet - but I did some digging...on K&N's site, they list both the '08 G35 and '08 G37 as using the air filter # 33-2399. Hrm.

So, that seems to imply to me that you could check the '08 G35 and order those filters for your G37. It's the Amsoil "EAA74".

Also - I checked the Wix site and it lists the "4962" (getting a new number though) filter for both '08 cars...

I don't know if the idea is bulletproof...but...

Haha, I don't mind doing the info digging if someone else is the guinea pig Please let us know how they fit and work. I'm very interested in running with these, with or without a CAI.

Filters came in today... not the right size by a long shot... not even close.

Basically the EAA74 is the size that the old single intake VQ took. I can't imagine the current gen sedan w/ the twin intakes would take this filter, so I dunno wtf is up.

I'm gonna contact amsoil and try again

I looked up the FX35 which uses the VQ35DE just like my old 2006 G35 coupe did, and sure enough, it lists EAA74 for that engine too.

So yeah, their site is bunk.. no way the 08 G35 sedan w/ twin intakes takes the same filter as the FX35 w/ one intake.

K&N makes air filters for the G37 its part # 33-2399
It's the same as for the 2007 G35 Sedan & 2007 350z

Check it out

What's your guys' opinion of the K&N? I hear the filtration is great, lasts like a 100k miles, and it allows for more airflow and in some cases even an increase of a couple horses to the crank and a slight possible improvement in mpg.

Anyone not getting a full intake system and just going w/the K&N air filter?
Also is changing the stock air filter easy??

"Filter Re-Oiling Amount: 0.56 oz (16 ml)"

I won't touch an oiled filter w/ a ten foot pole.

I didn't like K&N in my truck because too must dust got through. Amsoil was a little better with their standard filter. Now Amsoil has the nanofiber EA line, which should be the best of both worlds (high airflow + effective filtration)

Absolutely not, the OEM filter is a dry paper filter.
