Just installed bc coilovers front upper adjustable godspeed control arms rear camber arms adjustable godspeed and the z1 front and rear performance awd sway bars, had a new alignment and tires cars feels amazing at higher speeds my rear end is really loose id say or swaying or body rolling rear bad around bends and bumps at highway speeds , everything is tight and rear sway bars end links felt fine as well , what could this be ? And my alignment wasnt perfectly but it was very close also they said my camber adjusting bolts were seized any idea ?
Semi related, but when I did Fortune coilovers on my G35 Coupe, somewhere along the way the myth was perpetuated that the spring and shock rates rates should be 10kg up front and 6 kg in the back. When I first got my car back it felt awful, the rear end was way too soft and felt completely out of sorts and dangerously sloppy/loose,
Thankfully Fortunes offerings can be easily mixed and matched and I was able after two subsequent rounds of testing to get the rear spring and shock rates to land all the way at 12kg in the rear to get the right balance. I probably could’ve also gone up to 12 in the front, but 10 was plenty good enough and it is a pain to swap the fronts,
I don’t know what idiot told them that 10kg/6kg was the right set up for a roughly 50/50 balanced car when they were doing the development work, or why they continued to recommend that over time, but in the end thankfully it all worked out and the car was excellent after that.
