Limp mode issue on low oil pressure and timing advance bank 1
Limp mode issue on low oil pressure and timing advance bank 1
Rebuilt top end when I got it 6 months ago due to timing issue. Replaced nearly everything. After getting it all back together, it drove, but had a bad oil leak and burning. Found id missed cleaning off some of the old gasket for the valve cover on bank 1. Cleaned that up, drove perfectly. Still smelled a tiny bit of burning oil.Figured I needed to do bank 2 as well. Then car lost enough oil that pressure dropped and went back to limp most issues. Ok, did the other side. Found leak, fixed it.No more leak or smell. Put ****ty oil in it for testing. Drove horribly. Immediately low oil pressure and limp mode. Changed oil. Still having the same issue. Ive read that the VVT solenoids on these things are very sensitive. Is it possible the bad oil damaged it and I need to replace them? Its a bank 1 fault thats sending into limp mode now. Or does anyone have any other suggestions for what might be doing this? Replaced timing kit, tensions, chain, sprockets(all) gallery gaskets, water pump and all gaskets. New plugs and coils, new cats, and a bunch of new hoses.
Any help would be much appreciated

Is your car struggling to start?
This may be kind of late to reply, but is your car struggling to start? Is the engine knocking? You may want to make sure your oil pump is clogged up or broken from the bad oil you put in. You also may need to replace the Phase Bank 1 camshaft position sensor.
