Welp, after over 5+ years of owning the car, and being a semi active member since 2019, with constant battles and tutorials and tips tricks getting into the nitty gritty DIYing away my 196K mile G37, its finally come to an end. After an accident on the highway, hitting a coyote going 70mph, ending up tearing apart the G, and with pre existing damage, insurance and the body shop did not like that, saying, to hell with your car. After a month of fighting for answers, I was distraught with news while at work that the car got totaled. This is basically also my retirement message from the website, as I've moved on, im driving a 2024 ford police interceptor, quite the change from the G thats for sure, but moving on to bigger better things. Thank you everyone for all the help and support the past 6 years.
I'm sorry to hear about the accident, which is also one of my greatest fears, especially living in Arkansas with quite a bit of wildlife crossing the roads. This is an example of how it becomes harder and harder to find a clean, undamaged vehicle after it starts getting older in years. Sad to see another G bite the dust.
I hope you enjoy the new vehicle. Different class for sure, so I hope it suits your needs.
If that EcoBoom engine has the "wet belt" (oil pump drive belt submerged in engine oil) make sure to use the correct oil, or they tend to fail early, destroying the engine.
