Axle Break

Sorry I’m new to the forums,

but my axle just tore, and doing research I found out it’s going to be a consistent problem with a lowered g. I heard about the “3/13” axles that are longer and in theory should work, but has anyone tried that? I’ve also talked to some guys and they said it’s a consistent problem for AWD lowered g’s so if I pull the fuse to make it rwd and put rwd focused suspension will the axle break stop? (Pictures of leak and car below)

The picture you shared is the boot for the steering rack. It is leaking, assuming the car is high mileage, you could just keep an eye on the power steering fluid level until you are able to replace the rack.
Just my take based on the pic.
As for the AWD and lowering, my AWD coupe has been lowered about 1 1/2 inches (38mm) for about 30,000 miles (48,000km) and i have had no issues with the axle boots.

I haven't seen many complaints about broken axles due to lowering, AWD or RWD. Where did you read that this is a consistent problem?

Most of the users here are lowered.

I didn't "break" an axle, but I did rip a boot significantly while swapping out front suspension parts on a slammed xS. It was my fault for not better supporting the hanging axle. And maybe the slight forced repositioning of the axle to get some of the parts in and out didn't help either. I drove with a torn boot and leaky axle for over a year. I eventually could feel the resistance at low speeds of the unproperly lubed axle, so I had both fronts replaced with genuine infiniti axles with warranty.
