CV axle issue

Hey folks, hoping you can help. I'm replacing my front CV axles on my 2010 G37x sedan due to the right front one's boot breaking. I figured I'd go ahead and do front bearings too. Problem is the right axle CarID sent is different from what was on my car. Pictures attached. Now I'm afraid to try it and have it not work and damage it trying to uninstall it.

I had a few folks on the Facebook G37 sedan and coupe group say it'll work, but CarID is supposed to be verifying fitment and getting back with me. I won't try unless they say Infiniti says it will work.

Infiniti will never say that will work, why would they? Lol.
If the shafts are the same length and the splines and seal surfaces are the same it just may work, but any replacement shaft I’ve ever seen has been basically identical to what was removed, so why take a chance?

Update

I wanted to update you all. CarID after 2 and a half weeks, finally decided it was the wrong part and took it back. Just sent back today and they said it would be refunded after 3 to 5 days upon return. Which might be another week or two.

Long story short: Never do business with CarID. They hold your money hostage after the incorrect part is sent for 2 weeks to "verify with the manufacturer" that the part is correct or not. Total bull.

Thank you for this post btw. Saved my butt. So apparently RockAuto sells these also as an option the company is called Cardone. After seeing this posts I just purchased another one that does not have that teeth gear on the outside. Idk how they "verified" it.

I had ordered axles a while ago for my 2010 G37x and the right side also had that spleen but I guess it worked because the shop installed no issue and been on my car for over a year.
these were the part numbers.

Yeah I have the Cardone driver-side front axle, but after seeing OP post the passenger-side side by side and how it was a bit shorter I just decided to get it from another company. But, now I know that it works.
