I was changing the cabin air filter in my 2013 G37x Sedan and the glove box damper string became detached from the damper pin as the crimp holding it broke. Does anyone know what type and size crimp is required and where I could get it? Thanks in advance.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

Yikes. New they want ~$150 for the part.

Used glove boxes on eBay go for 1/3 that amount.

Note that you can change the cabin filter without fussing with that damper.

I just went to a junkyard and grabbed a couple of them as the damn things always break on me. IIRC, this last one just broke a few months back and I said to hell with it.
