Oem or Berks hfc?

Hey guys, so I need your help on this. About 2 months ago I got into an accident with my G37 and was totaled so I ended up buying another one and the one I bought turned out to have cheap aftermarket cats which are robbing performance and sound horrible so I'm looking to replace them asap. Now my question is; should I go with used oem cats which I loved on my old G37 or should I upgrade to Berks hfc? Thanks.

Guess it depends on what your intentions with the car are. I had one of the oem cats go bad and wouldn’t pass emissions. Dealer wanted $790 for just one new one. So i went with Berks. Check engine light went away, passed emissions and it put some pep into the car.

I absolutely love them. But when I took the old cats off,the oem ypipe flange had rusted and broken off. So I combined the Berks with Megan racing ypipe. With that combo I definitely felt a difference in performance. Sound wise, you hear it when you cold start and if you get on it but under normal driving you don’t hear much

thanks for recommending a y pipe as well since the one I got is also a cheap aftermarket from the previous owner. I am going to go with your setup man, thank you. And one more question; did u like the Berks + megan y pipe better than the oem setup?

I love it compared to oem. For me the price was great for both parts. I have pics on my build thread
