Ok new here and I really hope there are active members.

I have a confession I have a 2008 G35 but it has a 2010 G37 front.

I’ve already sorted a number of issues I inherited but I have a solid yellow key and bit my intelligent keys work. My drivers door push button doesn’t and I’m wondering if that’s tied in. I ordered a used one so I’ll see but I also got a bi directional scan tool because I had to reset sas and it doesn’t show anything for the immobilizer or any other dtc. What causes this yellow light to stay illuminated if both ribs have new batteries and work 100%

another part of a mystery is the previous owner apparently got his shifter locked out which may have caused other issues. He ripped out the shift lock solenoid and there is a white white tied in to a harness in the lower column I noticed when I did the clock spring. It’s spliced between a green and black I believe and I also don’t have steering wheel lock. Any advice would be greatly appreciated I refuse to pay a technician that is most likely bot as smart as I am. Plus labor rates are stupid please help
