2012 G37 - Door Button/Push Start does not work
2012 G37 - Door Button/Push Start does not work
Hi All,
I only have 1 remote for my g37 and have had no issue with the door buttons or push to start prolixity sensor.
The other day the low battery warning light showed on the dash when the car was started. I replaced the batter in the fob and the door button and push to start no longer work.
The unlock/lock/trunk button the remote still function normally as well as starting the car with the key inserted. This issue only started as soon as the batter was replaced.
Is there anything i need to do to re-sync/pair the FOB with the proximity sensor after the FOB looses power?
Thank you very much for any help!!!

No, you should not need to do any reprogramming. The FOB itself has a fixed internal "code" and it's the car that is in charge of remembering it. So changing the FOB battery should not effect the system. But you should check to make sure your "new" battery is good. Sometimes they are past their due date and have been sitting on the store shelf too long. Also, make sure the battery is in the right way - that's an easy mistake.
