It's been a good run

Good evening forum and enthuasists!! As much as I would like to come to the thread with an awesome post, this is not. Recently I've taken my g37 and it has been ruled the timing jumped and a tensioner has locked. And I don't have the money to completely replace the motor in this situation. As much blood, sweat and tears and very long consideration it is time for me to assist other enthusiasts with keeping their cars alive. This car has a TON of new parts and I mean it! Even solenoids and sensors even hubs!! I am willing to part out this 2010 G37x sedan. Any parts that I've recently have do have a limited lifetime warranty except certain parts. But I can definitely let you know if any parts you may require are good or not. The car was a considered a lifer and had great plans with it. But no longer. The exterior is black and the interior is tan. I will upload pictures to the thread. And any prices will be fair and favorable. And possible negotiations. Depends. Don't make me feel worse about it. Lol. Sonplease feel free to contact me at the email address reikotheridiculous@gmail.com and put in the subject line parting out. If you need anymore information please ask me for my number. Anyway, yall take care, be safe and do what us enthuasists do....give people a run for their money, and take it too!! Stay sharp yall!! -DongSoLo

If you're parting out your car, please create FS threads for each item in the FS forum. Some people create a single FS thread for their entire part-out, but even then you're required to itemize the parts for sale, with pictures and prices.

Here are the rules for selling stuff on the forum. GL

How many miles were on the engine? Based on what I’ve seen reported online over the past 10 years, I’d have to say this is somewhat rare, especially on cars equipped with timing chains. No interest in finding a lower mileage shortblock and replacing the motor going that route? The car looks like it’s in good shape otherwise and there’s a lot of totaled Gs (or even 370zs) that use the exact same motor.

Example. I’ve also seen them for less than 2k: https://jdmenginezone.com/products/infiniti-g37-2007-2015-3-7l-v6-complete-jdm-engine-vq37hr

Where those pictures of the chain to show the timing chain jumped?

I ask because it doesnt look like the chain was ever taken off. If you did not take any of the chains and tried to line up all of the timing marks the chain links will never match by rotating. They have to be taken off and repositioned.
This is not how you read the timing marks. You make sure that the dots on the gears align with the spots on the inner timing cover
