Headlights Alpha Rex

How it going fellas. Looks like I have made a big mistake, two weeks ago prior to the last weeks of my deployment, I decided to buy Alpha Rex headlights from Retrofit Source. Today, upon taking apart the front bumper I realized that these headlight don’t fit my 2009 G37 sedan journey front end. 🤦🏽‍♂️. Looking at the situation closely, looks like I need to change the driver & passenger fender and front bumper from a sport Coupe. I tried looking through the forums and couldn’t really get a definite answer on what’s needed. Help would be much appreciated.

Assuming you’ve got headlights that are meant for a 2010+ G sedan, then you can commit to a full conversion of your frontend from the 2007-2009 design to the 2010+ design. Link below should be helpful. If you have G coupe headlights, then you might be outta luck (don’t believe it’s practical to convert a sedan frontend to coupe frontend, but anything’s possible…)

Hmmmm don’t think there’s a way to get those to fit without swapping lots of parts. Feel like some custom fabrication might be necessary as well.

IMO too great an undertaking to get some aftermarket headlights to fit. Best bet is to get compatible ones

Definitely not feasible to do a coupe front end swap. I'd try to sell them and recoup some of your costs unfortunately.

Thanks for the response, guys. I am going to call Retrofit source and see if I can get a refund. It sucks trying to order stuff on government computer due to the restriction and blocks on most of the pages. Again, thank you for the helpful response.

It's unfortunate that The Retrofit Source website does NOT tell you that those are for the Coupe. Searching "2009 Infiniti G37" points you to those lights with no mention of coupe or sedan. The only hint is it says "G37/Q60" and the Q60 is specifically the coupe - but are they expecting you to know? So in my opinion this was kind of their mistake and I hope they'll work with you on a return. Sorry you got as far as taking the front end apart. D'OH!!!
