2012 G37X sedan Exhaust Cutout

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here but after weeks of searching I'm sending out an S.O.S. Recently I've begun adding a few simple mods that don't break the bank. Call it a budget build. Anyways, I received an electronic exhaust cutout and need help with wiring specifically trim removal and finding the idel location to install the rocker switch that controls the exhaust cutout. I'm modeling this mod off of a video I saw on YouTube: https://youtu.be/rsWkOWGme6A
The center console varies slightly from the one on my own G. And I can't figure out how to remove the console without pulling apart the shifter. Any advice or other ideas for where to mount the switch and wire everything? Thanks a bunch.

There's a panel next to your left foot when you're in the driver's seat. Just use one of the (12 volt?) fuses to power the cutout and also put the switch in the dash near that area. Main thing is that there is a power source by your foot. Don't need to mess with the center console, because you're gonna jank **** up.

You're going to have to use the internet to find out the voltages between each fuse, and go with the one that matches the required voltage of the cutout.

Then go to autozone and pick up one of those fuse doubler adapters (allows you to branch off from a fuse location) and connect your cutout wiring, including the switch wiring, to that. Add a fuse in that adapter for your cutout to be safe.

Or just take it to a sound shop for the wiring.

What kind of cutout setup are you doing? I was thinking of doing cutouts, but was looking at the pressure activated ones.

I'm running the granatelli cutout: https://granatellimotorsports.com/i-30499981-granatelli-motorsports-electronic-exhaust-cutout-kit-307525.html
Mounting between the cats and the resonators in the y-pipe. And I thought about tapping into the fuse box but I'm not sure where I'd drill under the car to run the wiring.

Also with the fuse double adapter, would I still need to connect to grond somewhere along the floor?

Yes. The fuse adapter is not required but it just makes it cleaner, and you can tap into lines that become active when say you turn the ignition or you could tap into a line that stays active at all times. Try googling fuse box locations for your car or search through the service manual here:

Yes ground to complete the circuit. I believe the manual shows grounding points? I know there's one behind the stereo. You could use a multi-meter to check voltage to confirm ground.

I would take it to a trusted stereo shop to wire it for you. Headache and time saved is well worth the money
