The revised sunroof deflector cuts down on all that road noise and wind buffeting tremendously! Coupe Sunroof Deflector. While not perfect, it makes the ride much more enjoyable with the sunroof open (for me, anyway).

T-Tops were incredibly popular in the mid to late 70s to early 90s. However, it seemed that every Third-gen F-Body Camaro and Fox Body Mustang with T-Tops leaked. I'm ashamed to say that I cannot recall when electric sunroofs became mainstream again, but I'd have to guess in the mid to late 80s? I think they were initially around in the 50s and 60s in higher end Cadillacs and Lincolns, but then safety concerns caused them to vanish for 10 years or so.

In 2004, one could buy a G35 with the Sport-Tuned Suspension and Aero packages only (no Sunroof or "Premium" package, which contained the problematic Bose stereo of that Gen). I recall being bummed when I went to purchase another G and was required to purchase every package except Tech in order to have access to the Sport Package, which was really the only package I cared about in 2013. I have no idea how to figure out the packages on the Q. The sales guy at the Nissan dealer the other day told me that the Q50 is not offered with the BBK anymore. That was dissapointing. Had a sunroof though...

I open my sunroof every now and then to make sure it still works and to dust off the tracks inside and wonder if my drains are clogged.

I'd be all over a Sunroof delete if one existed! Different headliner, dome light assembly? I wasn't aware that our model was ever offered without one.

 

Remember the TV show Simon & Simon? The younger Simon had a 3rd gen Camaro with a Targa roof. Pretty sure it was just a T-top with the bar cut out, which probably meant the car had a stupid amount of body flex. Fun show, though.



IIRC, it was the 2011 model G37 when the sunroof became standard equipment, even though it was on nearly every G made. And then there's the G25, when it was optional again.

 

Loved Simon and Simon. You are right about the flex as those F-Body cars had alot of flex to begin with, so I'm surprised they could get the doors to properly close with that targa mod.
