End Link Advice

Hi All:
I am replacing my 2015 Q40 (Essentially rebadged G37) with Hotchkiss sway bars that recently arrived. Do I need upgraded end links (heavier duty) or can I just replace old links with new OEM ones?
trying to keep the cost down as Whjteline links seem to be a bit pricey, but along those lines I don’t want to have to revisit this job again either. Any advice?
Thanks I’m advance to all.

You might get all kinds of advice... OEM, Moog, SPC, Whiteline, SPL, etc. Advice is free.

You could also not fix something that isn't broken. If you're trying to keep cost down, that option might be your best.

But I don't think there's a wrong answer.

The word on the block is the SPL’s are the only ones robust enough to handle the Hotchkis front bar.

They have a tendency to squeak so you do have to keep them lubed but aside from that they are the best..and also the most expensive.

I kept my factory front end links when I installed my Eibach bar with the understanding that I’ll eventually need to replace them with something stronger.

Just like 2.2 Lude stated the added strength of the bar will put strain on your links.
Sway bar links are not that difficult to install. I would install the OEM ones for now then monitor, this way if you upgrade to adjustable/stronger ones you can then compare between your old ones.

my front end was making a clunking sound when going over "rough" roads, I purchased some pro forged end lnks off of CARid, clunking is gone and the front end seems much tighter. They werent cheap , I think I paid $90

Check/have checked the installed links for excessive play before spending money. This is something that is easy to do after-the-fact - you do not need to do them at the same time as the sway bars, really.

@Q40Will judt make sure when the links are tightened, the car is sitting on the ground. Or it’s up on ramps and sitting on ramps

if you don’t do this (meaning you have car jacked up and wheels suspended in the air) then you greatly risk ruining the end links bc the links will be under tension once you put the car down on the ground 👍
