Understanding Sway Bars & End Links

Hello, I've been lurking around the myG37 and 370z forums. I've looked around yet still have a few questions left unanswered.

A little background information, I daily drive the G, new to the G platform, and go on 'spirited' drives from time to time. I am looking for a more responsive feel when turning around. Many forum members say that sway bars is one of the best bang for the buck mods available. With this being said,

I have no plans on lowering the G anytime soon.
It is better to prevent than to fix.

1. I've seen a few members on myG37 talk about pairing aftermarket sways with rear stock end links and this results in breaking. What about front end links? I rarely see fronts being talked about.

2. If I plan on purchasing aftermarket sways, are end links recommended for my purposes?

3. Does brand matter when it comes to end links? Whiteline vs SPL?

Thanks to any and all responses. Any additional information on sways and end links will be greatly appreciated!

Lowering is what will change the angle of the sway bar end link to the sway bar. There is many people that have discussed the front sway bar end link snapping. From what I've read here and the370z.com, you are better off going for Moog (Beefed up OEM) or SPL and skipping the whiteline. Honestly, I'd keep the stock end links and only replace them if they break. I doubt they will at stock height.

1. Rears tend to be more likely to break than fronts. I don't recall seeing any broken fronts.
2. If you aren't lowered they are less likely to break. You could go without replacing the links and if the OEM ones break replace them.
3. Yes. Avoid no name or knockoff brands. SPL are the best (and most expensive). I had Whiteline and they were adequate. They didn't break. But I removed them and replaced with SPL. They're stronger and have better adjustability.

I am lowered and used the stock sway bar front and rear endlinks till the rear snapped. Then I got aftermarket rear adjustable endlinks a member here was selling. those lasted about 3 years before it snapped.
Now I am using spl rear endlinks. They are real beefy. I don't baby my car nor is it a parking lot meet queen. It's driven hard and my front stock endlinks are still perfectly fine.
I would suggest you avoid the white line ones as the370z guys have mentioned they loosen over time and needs constant adjusting.
Ideally you can run the stock endlinks till they break as spl ones are not cheap.

I have hotchkis sway bars both front and rear on the tightest setting with stock end links and so far they have held up very well. Although I realize the difference would be night and day with some SPL end links
