What actually is leaking?

I have 2013 G37x 120k miles now.
While I was changing my oil today, this is what I see through oil filter cover.

I cannot tell if that was power steering fluid leaking or transmission fluid leaking? I do have a small leaking power steering rack at front passenger but I just fill the fluid when it gets low. It takes like few months to get to low level.

May be I should use one of those power steering stop leak bottle?
Any advices/suggestions are welcome, thanks.

if you want to find the leak, you need to clean all that up. I mean, get the leaking oil off, the area clean, then watch it to see where the leak is coming from. Some people scrub, or use a power washer, some mechanics just use a whole bunch of bottles of parts cleaner or similar.

my understanding from the PS leak stop additives is that it swells the rubber seals, which can stop a leak - if it's leaking from one.

Hello I just bought a 2013 s 62k miles.

Curious how does this happen? city driving ? Hitting curbs? Harsh weather?

I'm curious cus every car I ever bought at high miles had issues like this.

But cars I buy at low miles and drive ...like my maxima 40k to 150k never had issues like this.

What do people do to there cars to make stuff like this happen?

Thanks for your input. I hope i don't have stuff like this to look forward too later in my G

Our cars use transmission fluid for power steering fluid. I use Valvoline maxlife transmission fluid in my Volvos power steering and it works good for leaks.
