O2 sensor problem

I recently replaced bank one sensor one and the check engine light came back on saying the same code (p2a00) for bank one sensor one, then I replaced that one with a denso exact fit to see it maybe the brand was the problem and the light came back one yet again, anyone know why I might be having this problem?

I am having the same problem, but on Bank 2 sensor 1 on my G35 2008
I have replaced it with a Denso sensor, and the laight came right back after about 20 miles of drive, the car has been showing
slow idle,
I wonder if any of you guys figured out the problem...
All help or suggestions are highly appreciated

I wish it was only a light issue for me, as I need to get my car fixed for the registration,

I am not a mechanic but I feel that the signal is not reaching the ECU back from the sensor (as I learned it is what it does)

The trouble code description is not necessarily the "part to replace", as you have learned.
If you want to troubleshoot this on your own and fix it, download the factory shop manual (niccoclub.com) and follow the steps under P2A00.

Possible causes for this code are:
• A/F sensor 1
• A/F sensor 1 heater
• Heated oxygen sensor 2
• Fuel pressure
• Fuel injector
• Intake air leaks
• Exhaust gas leaks

If you don't have the time, skills or tools, then I think the next step is to take it to a shop you trust.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do

O2 sensor issue

These codes came on after i installed test pipes 2 years go (although the cats I got have the o2 sensor cheaters with 90 degree bend) but I was told after I get tuned I should be good, so I got tuned a year ago and the same codes will pop up every like 100- 200miles I didn’t mind them and kept clearing them but now it happens very frequently like every 15-20 miles) Also can you guys tell me the readings of all 4 02 sensors at idle so I can read data stream and see if they are in spec I would appreciate it and any advice plz and thank you.

Your codes are for "Sensor 2" which is the downstream sensor.

You have a bad downstream o2 sensor. You need to replace it. Simple as that.

"Bank 2" is the driver side

Our cars are meant to run with cats. Being that you have test pipes and not cats is the reason imo. You can tune the car with the test pipes then you’ll have no codes and will run better or you could put cats back on. Not criticizing test pipes but just informing you that you have options. I would also recommend changing your plugs so 1 it’s done and 2 it’ll burn cleaner

Does your car have after market exshaust?
I had a O2 code on with ARK exshaust system on and it was gone right after I switch to OEM exshaust

Assuming you fixed whatever caused the PA20- code and you have no leaks, try this to get rid of that code for good. Warm up to operating temp. Clear codes with engine running. Turn off car and unplug maf on the side that's giving the PA20- code. Turn on car for over 5 seconds. Turn off car. Plug in Maf. Turn car back on and now you should have additional codes. Clear codes and let idle for 10 minutes. This resets the air-fuel ratio learning.
