Currently had a rod knock due to running w no oil and after swapping the engine (2012 g37 3.7 journey) for a newer year but same model.. 2013 3.7 g37 journey I came across these problems.. I would appreciate any help that can lead me towards the solution.. I’m in a need to finish the car ASAP as it was my daily for work. Thanks in advance

 

did you ever figure this out? my 2013 is knocking and barley responding to throttle. restart the car it acts like nothing happened

 

i'm thinking the cam sprocket has slipped. the adjuster is not able to bring it back onto time. how well do you take car of your ride, meaning interval of oil change? do you use quality oil or just whatever is cheapest off the shelf or oil change special? how did you run the engine out of oil, negligence or oil leaks?
