2013 G37 No Bluetooth streaming or Aux
I just bought a 2013 G37 (maybe g37x?) and found out there's no Bluetooth streaming for music or an aux port. Does anyone know if there is a way to update the system to allow Bluetooth streaming or a way to add the aux? The holes are cut out in the center console but there's no actual plug (makes 0 sense to me). I love everything about the car except this part, I bought it under the impression it would have these features too. I know there is a cigarette outlet plug that streams to an FM station but those suck where I live. Any advice or work arounds is much appreciated
If the car doesn't have factory navigation then it doesn't do Bluetooth streaming. I know, it was mean of Infiniti to do that but that's what they did. However, you should find a USB jack in that space under the armrest and that gives you the option (although awkward and somewhat unreliable) to directly play music from a phone, iPad, etc... To get a more "modern" system involves a major audio system and center console upgrade. You can read about the many options in other parts of this forum. Glad you're enjoying the rest of the car.
Um, no go on the swap idea - it's insanely complicated. Better to go with a new audio rig, but yes, costly. Maybe some others here can suggest a few options but ... you should be able to get audio to play from your Samsung through the USB jack.
Try this: plug in USB cable, manually start music playing on the phone, then choose AUX input from the center console. It's likely the information displayed on the car's screen will be wrong but if it passes audio then you would at least be able to "skip" tracks and control volume from the steering wheel. If none of that works then I guess you'll need to look into alternatives.

+1 for what 13_SkylineSedan already mentioned regarding swapping. It is NOT a plug-and-play affair.
I have a microSD card loaded up with a ton of files. I keep it plugged in and call it a day.

I have a friend who has been creating a custom radio setup. He mentioned disconnecting the XM box in the trunk and installing something there (I think a carplay device, don't 100% remember). It was basically plug and play, he might have stripped the plugs to connect everything up, then ran a separate USB cord from his device to the front center console. He could then select the "XM" button on the radio and it would connect through his carplay. On a warmer day, I plan to disconnect it and see if I can place a bluetooth device in the same location using the OEM wiring and attempt to do the same thing with bluetooth. I wouldn't call it plug and play, but depending on the replacement device it should be easier and cheaper than a Nav Swap or aftermarket units, assuming it works.
I haven't seen much information on any of this on the forums, but if someone knows something I don't feel free to chime in. I'll end up doing a write up when I attempt it on my car. I imagine he'll be done with his project by then as well so I'll have someone's ear when things start going south.

Check this place out:

Input your exact car and see what they have on offer. We had these in our old '05 & '06 Gs (no NAV) so we could play iPod audio directly through the system. Maybe they have something you could use.

I have the nav and the bluetooth gives me a lot of problems honestly. The connection will randomly decide to stutter/glitch on you until bluetooth is turned off and reconnected. Not sure if it's just my system but it's REALLY annoying. Also sometimes the nav screen won't show what song is playing through bluetooth. That's random also.
I just gave up and now run the USB cable with my iphone. No more connection issues and a plus is that the nav displays the album art when it's plugged in, which I like a lot
