09 sedan front end conversion?

I recently purchased my first car and I went with an 09 G37x sedan. I really love the car, it’s fun to drive, fairly decent on gas, etc etc. i know it’s harder to work on the AWD models of the cars so I was gonna do some cosmetics beforehand to give it a nicer look, so I was going to buy after market headlights but I realized they don’t make them for my year sedan, and I was wondering if anybody could link me to a forum or video where someone did a front end conversion where they put a newer model front end (‘10-13) on an older model? I tried looking around but couldn’t find anything, I heard it’s possible but I want to make sure it’s been done properly. Appreciate the help!

You know as soon as I posted this thread I got a bunch of related topics for people doing conversions on G35s, but is it the same as a G37? Might be a stupid question

You need 2 new headlights
New Bumper
New front grille
New washer fluid reservoir.

Good luck!

Same question, I’m going to pick up a 2009 G37x with 68k for 3.8k on Monday but dam I hate the grill.. nothing like the 2010+ models. Where can I find some threads with people who have done it? Is it definitely doable?

Hey man I got same car too, I wanted to do the same project too but I grew out of it and started loving the ‘09 front bumper.

Every thing may cost you around $1.5k plus if you wanna add aftermarket headlights, you’ll have to pay $300-$400 more so my suggestion would be try to love your front and invest that money in way better stuff that will actually make your g performant like intake, good exhaust, coilovers, wheels and so on.

Its just a suggestion, if you really want to do it, go for it man.
Good luck with your future endeavours!

I to was interested into doing the conversion but the more I look at my front bumper and headlight. I always like to see my AFS headlight turn when I turn the steering wheel something you do not have on the 2010 conversion but when my car was at the garage the mechanic said that I have some wires under the headlight for some fog light, it is weird, I have the 09 g37xs

Yeah we have fog lights if you haven’t noticed, it works as DRL too and located in the headlight unlike 2010 and + models.

Def doable - You can get it done but get your parts ready first
All of this can be done in your own garage, no need for a special mechanic.

Buy 2 Headlights (Aftermarket will be your cheapest bet)
Get the front bumper (You may need a new infiniti emblem for the front as the old one dont fit the new grill
New grill ofcourse
and washer fluid reservoir.

If you sell your old parts, you can get more than half your money back

I did it , so can you!!!

This can end up being on expensive mod if your actually trying to do it 100% properly. z1 sells the full kit. You'll need front bumper, all the vents, grille, emblem, headlights (these cost almost 3 grand in canada), g37 bash bar, and g37 windshield washer tank and i believe you ll also need fog lights.
Here the link for the Z1 kit if you want to take a look
