Much to my chagrin i discovered there is not an oem 09 sport bumper out there that i can swap into. I also am not looking to spend over $1k to do the 10+ conversion.
My question to you all is this. Is there anything I can do to make it look a bit more aggressive? I absolutely hate the black mesh things. Is there a lip I can use? A non-oem bumper? Suggestions appreciated...

there IS a sport bumper for the 09 G37 sedan, (its also the same for the 07-8 G35 sedan...part numbers are 62022JK20H and 62022JK22H depending on whether you have the tech package or not
Both lips are pretty much impossible to find these days. There is a sport bumper but it seems to be pretty rare as well. There are a few listed for sale but for some crazy prices....

The 07-09 sport bumper is not a popular item on the secondary market, but brand new ones are readily available from dealers for about $350.00 brand new aftermarket ones are a bit less
I have yet to see an aftermarket one in stock. It also seems the places selling them are inflating the shipping costs... the lowest quote I've gotten is around $275 and the highest was over $350.
a lot of wreckers "stock" them too but but maybe they don't actually have them... I agree that online sources inflate the shipping costs like crazy though, the best bet is probably a body shop.. you end up out the door with a painted piece for about what the online places charge for the bumper plus shipping costs from an online source
I got lucky and completed the full sport swap. $350 for a reconditioned and primed sport bumper shipped off of RockAuto, ~$75-100for paint (not sure because I also got my grill and spoiler painted at the same time), and $200 for the sport lip (super lucky, got it off the forums here but it is usually like $350 online).
