Removing muffler delete drone with Vibrant resonators
Hey guys, I just got my muffler deleted and the drone around 1.5k and 2.5k-3k is killing me.
I decided to buy some Vibrant ultra quiet resonators and im wondering where to put it. I want to eliminate the drone as much as possible so should I put it before the tips where the mufflers used to be or should I replace my stock ones in the middle ?
It comes in two days so I want some advice before putting them on..
I have a g37 sedan btw some help would be some appreciated
Also some advice if you wanna do muffler delete.. dont... just get a proper system..The drone is the worst.. Im probably gonna be spending up to around 450 CDN after all this work

any exhausts you recommend? the key here is no drone hahah
thanks for the help
The deep growl from the straight pipe already sounds great so anything that makes it deeper and smoother would be appreciated

I have the stock midpipe on my car and I’ve had experience with the resonators on it on and removed, when I switched to a bigger diameter y pipe I had a custom one so it had 2 resonators on it which equals 4 resonators on my exhaust which made it a bit more quiet and about no drone. So I wouldn’t see why adding two on yours would help as well even if it’s at the axle back section

If you look up aam short tails that's essentially what you should do and keep the OEM res in place. A better solution is to get the tanabe mid pipe and OEM sports muffler. No drone. Muffler delete will always have drone no matter what.
I've literally done all the deletes res no res y pipe mid pipe etc.
My final setup was hfc tanabe y pipe tanabe mid and OEM sports accessory muffler. Great tone and zero drone at all.

You can add Helmholtz resonators, it will take care of drone. Yesterday i made final revision of my exhaust, hopefully. It took a lot of time, welding, and stainless steel...
