Autokits rear diffuser - Yes or No? Help me decide
It is not an easy choice for me. It just isn't obviously an improved look to me. I don't know if that is because it's different and I need time to get used to it or what. I think I am going to wrap the roof gloss black. Perhaps after that it will flow better with the car. Right now it just seems out if place to me.
It is currently painted gloss black

honestly i'm torn. i have same color g37, so that's a great example for me to look at, thank you for posting this btw.
i kinda like it, but it may be a bit too aggressive. if you also have a black chin spoiler, do it by all means. but if that's the only aero trim you have, maybe pass. sorry i couldn't be more definitive for you, i'm in the same shoes.
Yeah
It's a bit out of place to have one black body part. Sort of.
I don't know. Think it will flow better with a black roof wrap.
Or painted a different color
Matte black
Color match....
Respect for those sport coupe wheels, always look bigger than 19"
Think the diffuser would look better as matte black or dark grey; its more of a trim piece than part of the body, so I think a gloss finish looks awkward
Think that lower valence on the bottom of the rear bumper looks much better when covered with darker vinyl or a diffuser, especially on lighter-colored G sedans...they look unfinished without it IMO
I'm in the same boat...have had an autokits diffuser sitting in my house for over a year, still not too sure if I'll install it
Diffuser only looks good on 07-09 rear bumpers. For 2010+ models it's a waste of money imo. Not that it's ugly, but like you said, hard to justify it as an "improved" look.
Are these the coupe oem wheels? Did they fit or did you have to get two set of front wheels? I want to get oem 19s for my sedan but don't know if they will have fitment issues.
I don't care for it. While I agree with the idea of blacking out that recessed area of the lower bumper, the design is all wrong. It establishes a separation of materials too far below the curve of the bumper edge. The end result looks like some kind of dime-store plastic thing slapped on an otherwise clean looking car. I've actually given this a lot of thought over the years, and the only acceptable conclusion would be if you had a black car. Even then, probably not.
I’ve given this some thought too as I don’t love the 2010+ sedan rear bumper, but options are fairly limited. Carbon signal has awesome rear spats, but the bumper makes the license plate look bent. Auto kits makes it look like random plastic fins attached.
Another option is the TS-style, but it also has dumb “vortex generators” on the sides.
Meh, might just have to vinyl wrap the valence and call it a day
