I also agree with saywat's lazy phonetic comments. Intake howl is best appreciated when you have a quiet exhaust, from inside the car and on the road, not parked and revving the engine. Subjectively, there's no aural quality to it, just an unusual noise signifying acceleration.

But I still like it.

Thanks for the help boys. I will be buying the stillen catback, after doing some research on them, they do seem to provide pretty good performance without pissing off everyone in my general area. I am trying to persuade myself on a gen 3 intake, just worried as I do drive this car everyday especially through the Canadian winters. Ive had times where there was snow in my engine bay and my whole grille, bumper, and doors were iced shut.

I have the Stillen Gen 3's the install took me about an hour and a half and I frequently drive in monsoon like conditions and survived a winter with it where my doors at one point were frozen shut as well. You shouldn't have any issue, especially with the splash shield and being up so high. The cutting isn't that bad I did it with one of those job saw multitool jawns with the like 1.5" oscillating flat blade and smoothed it over with a dremel. That being said Z1 sells a kit with the same size piping and filter location but uses Silicone elbows where the radiator support and 90deg bend are so you dont need to cut for the pipes, the silicone hose will squeeze right in there: Z1 Motorsports 370Z / G37 Cold Air Intake Kit - https://www.z1motorsports.com/air-in...it-p-8892.html

Finally had time to install the Stillen intake. And what a difference it made to the peddle response. The engine is much happier to rev higher now. Will post pics tmwr

Awesome! Looking forward to the pictures. I just installed the Fast Intentions Catback exhaust and looking into the Stillen Gen 3 CAI as my next mod to compliment the new exhaust.
Only thing I was worried about was the install and that you have to do some cutting. Seems like it's not as bad to do though for the benefits of having the stillen CAI.
