Maybe it's just the pic, or maybe they're really yellow.
U actually got me thinking I might try to cut and polish them, but I think they are beyond repair and the yellowing is on the inside.

Looks lame. Even if it came with it like on the Q40, better to debadge it.

Most every body shop, and most detail shops, have a headlight lens restoration service now. It's become real common, relatively inexpensive, and will totally change how you feel every time you approach your car. Shop around and find a place you're comfortable with.

Here's the thing, you obviously care based on the tone of these two comments, and you've already demonstrated a similar intent by adorning it with chrome bling. Aaron, the 6MT Sedan is a unique and worthy car, the best mod you can do is to clean or repair something so it looks new again.

Good luck.

Badges add like 7hp to front wheels. Fact.

They aren't yellowing from the inside. An experienced detailer will be able to wetsand, compound, polish & seal them to look brand spanking new again. I have headlights that were re-finished in 2015 and had X-PEL film applied to them and they aren't yellow at all. The edges where the X-PEL film didn't cover is turning hazy though. That goes to show you sealing the headlights after refinishing them is #1 key to having clear headlights.

Be aware of the ****ty headlight restoration jobs that some places offer. It's usually $50-100 and all they do is take a pad and apply either compound or polish to the headlights. Sure it will look 'slightly' better but for how long? Maybe 4-6 months and they will start to look terrible again.

I work at a dealership and that's what our detailing department does.

Here are some cars that I personally did. This will give you an idea of what can be accomplished if you find the right person. Keep in mind that I am no professional and only did it as a hobby. You will yield better results from a actual professional and they will have sealant options to keep the results for years.

Always kinda liked fender badges

Plus I feel like it breaks up the plain/tonal profile of my car

Really? I researched before with other cars (and maybe even my current car) and didn't seem like cutting them would make them clear because it's deeper in the lenses itself, not just the outer face. Maybe I will put this on the list to try. I have experience with cutting/sanding and seem like it would be pretty easy to do, and obviously have youtube too I know enough to disregard all the inexperience on there LOL
