2009 g37 Headlights

Does anyone know if the headlights w/o technology package will work with my Sedan that has the technology package. Ie the AFS. Its about a $1000 difference from prices and im on a budget to fix my drivers headlight.

It will work but it'll probably have an error light on the dash.

Might as well do the $2010+ sport bumper swap!

Will the 2010 -up headlamps work for the 2007-9 cars? Seems they would be basically the same, just updated internals maybe?

They are not the same. Also going to need both grilles and fog lights.

It might be too much of a headache. I believe 2010+ models don't have AFS for the headlights. Plus the ICC module might be mounted on a different location for the new models on the bumper, confusing the system. If he didn't have the technology package, the conversion might be worth it.

OP, just have the insurance pay for it. That looks like a fix that would cost you at least $2000.

Otherwise, just find a 09 headlight with AFS at a junkyard for cheap. I guarantee you'll pay a lot less than $1000 for that.

I second what Mathnerd88 is saying try the scrap yard and you should be fine and lots ore cheaper, same thing happen to me twice already and the insurance cover the cost on both and the first time it was over $7000 and $4000 was just for the AFS headlight.
