I think we may be onto something here with the tires. The other day I rotated the front tires to the rear and purposely tried to spin them to get rid of the cupping on the insides. It was extremely cold so the tires were like bricks. I was able to spin them easier with only bits of wheel hop on occasion. So less grip = less wheel hop. The grip I have with my summer tires combined with the much more rigid subframe and rear differential is probably the perfect storm for wheel hop.
