Help!! Car Won't Start :-(
Hello All. I have a 2010 G37 with the original battery (probably about 8 years old?) With this extreme cold weather its been garage kept lately and needless to say the battery wouldnt start. So I replaced it with a interstate (changing the battery is kinda a pain in these cars). It started once after I installed it but I didn't let it run long.
Now When I go to start..it tries to crank but makes more of a grinding sound. Is there a possibility the battery didn't come fully charged? It sounds like more of a electrical sound than an actual engine trying to crank over. I'm concerned and confused. I'll go home and check polarity of the battery but I believe it is correct. Thoughts on what it could be? Should I try to add jumper cables to charge it up more?
Thanks! Jason

Folks. Ive determined battery is fine, its getting the juice to crank but theres no fuel coming. I'm narrowing it down to a fuel supply problem. Any idea how to investigate further? I'm hoping I can solve this without a tow to a dealer :-(

Folks - thanks for your help! I checked all fuses and last night I pushed the pedal a little bit as it was cranking and I was able to get it started. Blew out a lot of smoke upon startup but after I drove around for a bit seemed to run fine. I think sitting in the -30C cold blast we had for 2-3 weeks caused some fuel supply issues. Anyways...thanks for your help guys! She's back on the road now!
