New Owner 13 G37X.. maint questions

Hey all.. just picked up a 13 G37X with 58k. Dealer replaced a front wheel bearing under the powertrain warranty today. Of course they tried to get me to do the 60k service. Below is what they offered... some of these I can do myself or have been done, but I worry about the trans, diff and xfer case fluids. I have no idea if they were ever done at say 30k. I believe this was a lease vehicle.

I plan to use Amsoil for all. But I am reading mixed opinions on the 7AT.. should be done or left alone? Head is spinning there.. LOL. It seems those that do drop the pan since it is a "sealed" system?

Honestly, I plan to sell the car for a new Q50 before it hits 100k. So for the amount I drive that is about two years from now. But I could see myself giving it to my kid as well later on. Should I even bother with the trans at this point? I will definitely do the diffs and xfer case though. Other suggestions?

$92 for wiper blades? Must be special gold variety type. I think I paid $30 or $40 for an oem set some years back. You can also get just the refills.

If you're mechanically inclined you should be able to do everything on that list yourself except the alignment.

Check schedule in owner's manual. But yeah, they're trying to milk you.

Diff and transfer case take all of 1-1.5 hrs and about $40 worth of full synthetic fluid...

3X transmission flush is pricey @ $3xx.xx. Some guys have done it themselves on hear but I would highly recommend it whichever route you choose. All fluid breaks down under those extreme conditions. At 100k miles, a dealer considers that to be a car's lifetime...just about the time the transmission craps on you. change the transmission fluid every 40-60k miles and I can't see why it wouldn't last.

Yeah, check our DIY folder and see what you're able to DIY, I've done all my own service including the ATF, all were pretty straightforward. If you have a helper to use for the ATF and brake bleeding that makes things easier. I use wiper refills that go into the factory arms for under $10 per side and keeping the wipers OEM looks best and they last a long time IME. Get a carbon cabin filter like a fram and DIY, takes about 20 min.
All the services AFAIK are in the DIY section.

That's where the free coffee, donuts and that complimentary scratch & swirl job they do on the cars' clear coat come into play, so it's almost a break even deal

-Oil and Filter Change - sure
-Replace Brake Fluid - not a bad idea if it hasn't been done. my dealer charges ~$100 (in Canada!)
-Rotate Tires - sure
-Service Rear Diff - not a bad idea if it hasn't been done. not difficult DIY
-Service Front Diff - not a bad idea if it hasn't been done. not difficult DIY
-Service Xfer Case - not a bad idea if it hasn't been done. don't know how difficult DIY
-Cabin Filter - DIY, ~$15

$738.89 - yikes

Other Services Recommended

Spark Plugs - $357.28 - why so soon? manual says ~100k miles. leave it
Flush Brake Fluid - $159.50 - that was listed above as part of the 60k, but i would go elsewhere if the dealer wants $160 for this. should do this.
Clean and Adjust Brakes - $138.60 - sounds made up
Cabin Filter - $132 - is this a joke? ~$15 DIY, 10 minutes with very basic screwdriver
Clean Injectors - $155.40 - not needed, suggest just running a cleaner at every oil change
Service Front Diff - $91.68 - should do this, seems pricey for a simple drain & fill.
Alignment - $141.90 - do you have uneven wear, or pulling wheel? may not need it
Replace Coolant - $159.86 - might be time to do this, seems pricey, usually ~$100-$120 (CAD)
Service Rear Diff - $112.30- should do this, seems pricey for a simple drain & fill.
Wiper Blades - $92.45 - as other said, this must include gold plated blades. DIY for ~$30.
Service Transfer Case - $101.75 - should do this, seems pricey for a simple drain & fill.
Flush Trans - $347.93 - i've heard these are a bit pricey, but since you'll be letting the car go at 100k i'd skip it. manual actually says the 7AT is service free however that is debated on this forum.

Some of these make me laugh.. like the wiper cost.. Wth.

Also, I assume the DIY guides here all apply the same for 09-13 G37X? Thanks guys! - Yes
underlined feedback above. the Schedule 1 60k includes a ton of routine inspections that are probably also included with a much cheaper service package. most dealers do these as part of the oil change package. other piecemeal items like gear oils would be a good idea, maybe coolant flush/fill too. do the cabin/engine filters and wipers yourself.

The parking brake does have an adjuster. Works just like drum brakes...because they are. $138 is excessive, though.

Sounds like a plan. Don't think too much about that flush...Seems like everyone who doesn't do it or buys a G that has never had it done blow the transmission up around the 100k mile mark. Never heard of it happening to someone who has had it serviced though....$300 bucks vs $7,000...

Fair enough.. It just seems silly for a "flush" rather than a full change with pan drop.. I assume the dealer is not dropping the pan and I am only getting a fraction of old fluid removed.

I should also add that I have a extended service contract through a 3rd party.. I suspect they will want proof of 60k miles service done if a trans was to fail.. not sure if DIY would suffice here...hmm..
