Removing Center Console Finish G37 Sedan?

I have literally looked at every forum post to try to figure out how to remove the center console piece where the shift **** is on an automatic 2013 g37 sedan. There's a few DIY but one is for a G35 and the other is for a coupe. There is one with a sedan I saw but it was a brief explanation. I put the car in drive, take the shift **** off, then pull upwards from the shift boot area right? I have been at this for hours now and I have never had this much trouble taking out an interior piece of trim. Whenever I pull up from the shift ****, the plastic where the seat warmer ***** pull up with it. There are absolutely no videos, except one that's a slide show of pictures. Am I supposed to pry from between the shift **** finish and the seat warmer panel?

Please, any help would be amazing, I'm so fed up with this.

I haven't done it myself, but from this parts diagram it looks like the shift bezel and area around the seat heater switches are all one piece. I would look to see if there are any screws inside the center console that might need to be removed.

Edit:
Looks like there are two screws at the front of the bezel near the seat heaters, I assume to access them the console has to come out.

And here is a picture of the underside, I assume some of those screws in the middle need to be removed to release the shifter bezel itself.

I appreciate the effort in your post. I'm trying to take it off to wrap the trim but I just cannot get it to come off. All of the posts I have seen, it looks like they removed just the silver portion of the shift **** area but then again, a single angle photo only can tell you so much. I appreciate the help though. If anyone has wrapped their interior please chime in!

Thanks,

Akira

My G35 has the older style center console, but i had to pulll up HARD. I thought it was going to break, it's on there really well.

That's the thing though, I am pulling hard. I'm actually pulling so hard that you can see the heater switches pull up with the finish looking like it's going to snap.

Did you take off those two screws? It looks like you may have to remove the armrest thing to get to them.

What screws? There are only two screws under the lid of the ashtray, none in the cup holders, and none in the armrest.

I'm stuck..

It looks to me like there are two screws below the heater control part, from looking at the picture the other guy posted.

Yes, but how do I get "below" that part

Most cars have almost full video DIY on taking these kind of things apart but not for this car.

You talking about just the trim piece around the shift lever? (see pic) I think you pop the clips starting at the rear of this piece (thin plastic scraper to pry it without damage) and then the last two front ones pull slightly back...

Eh, sorry, I pulled that pic from an older service manual ('06)... This should get you there:

Pull down on the boot. There is a metal clip that holds the **** on. Pull the clip then the **** comes off. Then pry out the piece forward of the shifter below the heater controls. Then pry out the shifter plate.
