Back in the market...2011 G37x

Looking at a super clean but high mileage G37x. 86,000 miles...

Besides my fear of the rear timing cover gaskets anything else??

Brake fluid and PS fluid have been flushed. All other fluids have been changed..

Insights appreciated!

I have 2010 g37 with 105k miles and so far it's been a solid car and I push it hard... that's the reason why I bought a g37 because I pushed my g35 hard and my g35 has 215k miles on it without any serious repairs and still drives fine.

Currently driving an 11' g37x, purchased at 11,000 and now at 41,000. Zero issues so far, starting to get a little hesitation from start but I'm probably due for a throttle body cleaning.

Please do not let the timing gasket deter you.....At best it's a 10% chance...maybe; realistically, it's more like 5%.

As I've said before, if it were Vegas would you reason 90% chance < a 10% chance? I wouldn't think so. It's worth mentioning since it's one of the bigger issues you may run into but by no means would it deter me from buying this car and by no means would I hesitate to smash the pedal through the floor board because of it.

Edit: To put it in perspective, a brand new 335i has a higher probability of having a water pump blow up than you do of having the gasket blow...

Thanks guys. Drove it a little. Sure seemed sporty compared to a Q50. I need to drive it again and also take more time to adjust the seat. Seemed hard....

What features does it have?

I bought my 2012 G37xS at 79k, 16k cash. fully loaded to the teeth, so loaded the damn door sills light up infiniti. 14.5 may seems a bit high, Ask them for the exact walk out price with everything included.

Sounds nice!!

According to NADA (this is what banks and insurance companies use to value vehicles, so that's what I use) average retail is $14,750 with mileage and options. So it's $250 under avg retail (dealer). Private party would be less.

Average clean Trade is $12,200 so private party would be around there plus sales tax calculation added (they would save that by trading). Dealers rarely give CLEAN value on a trade, unless it's a super hot commodity.

I'd say there should be a little more wiggle room on the price.

Good luck!

Makes sense. These cars took a huge hit after the Q came out. Best kept secret in the community

Got my car for NADA value:$20k with 33k miles. Your car sounds like a xS model...Is there a big red S on the trunk?

Oh I'd say. Comes with everything except the bigger wheels and sport bumper. NADA has that car priced at $14,725. So at, $14,997 the dealer is asking a bit much. Here's the link to the NADA evaluation I used:

2011 INFINITI G37 Sedan Sedan 4D x AWD Prices, Values & G37 Sedan Sedan 4D x AWD Price Specs | NADAguides

Definitely some wiggle room to come down. Drive the Q though since they drive differently.

The Q is more in line with what I want. Definitely more refined although almost twice the coin...
