Back in the market...2011 G37x
only thing that would stop me from getting that car would be the interior color. I know its stupid but youll see dirt so easily on tan and its a nightmare with someone thats OCD like me......otherwise I would jump all over it.... looks really clean, good luck with the search
Staying tuned to see what you decided on. I love the Q50 front end, but hate the rear. The G37x is the best choice for the money for sure. But in the end if you like the looks of the Q50 and have the money to spare to buy it, go for it.
My problem is I want a 2015 Q50 as its the last year with the 3.7 and with Nav and that normally pushes the price to high. I messed up let one get away as I figured it would not sell....
Trying to be patient. I like the G but the looks are dated. If I wanted one to mod this 2011 would be a great option.

Looks are a very subjective thing, didn't like the Q50 from the start and still not growing on me, I like a few features here and there (like the entire headlight assemblies) but as a whole, no thank you.
Dave, g/L w/ your search and your quandary.

Agree...
From the small samples I have driven the Q transmission was smoother. Didn't downshift so quick and let the engine work a little more. Made the in town drive noticeably easier. Highway it's a tie. Interior goes to the G except I like the std Q seats better.....
If I can a deal on a low mileage Q that is probably the direction I'll go.
Since I have no local Infiniti dealer for warranty I was considering a rebuilt titled one but even with a $5k discount I doubt I'll bite...

Dave, do you live in an area where a RWD will work for you? The RWD S sedan is fully loaded w/ all the goodies, and if you found a 2012+ that would take the gasket issue out of the equation, just another crouton for you to crunch on
The RWD S pkg. has the big Akebono brakes, quicker turn ratio, LSD rear end, sport tuned suspension, paddle shifters w/ the AT, and the 6MT option if a manual transmission is something you'd consider. Also the aftermarket choices are quite a bit better for the RWDs and a few less drivetrain parts to worry about over time.
@ DHBWA, I agree with you about the Q50 look. That's why I have been doing extensive research into getting a body shop to make a Q50S front for my G37xS, I personally think such a fusion would look absolutely amazing. Outcast Garage already makes a Q50 front for the G and Q60 coupes. I have yet to work out certain details regarding grill placement and headlights.
Hopefully I can pickup a cheap used Q50S bumper and start fooling around with it. I cant remember but I think in NYC its illegal to drive without a front end, so I'll have to do a lot of measuring and fitting.
