BBK is really only a cosmetic upgrade unless tracking the car in which it will shine. More than enough options for pads and rotors to increase performance.

Lip does add a little extra something. Be sure to specifically get the sport lip if you add it after the fact. There's a non-sport lip as well that you don't want to accidentally get.
here you go

There we go

Clean looking 3.5. Like that hood. Was that needed in order to run the S/C? What kind of numbers did you see? That second to last pic is heartbreaking though

Wasn't expecting the story to end that way. I think if I put the work into my 3.7 to boost it, I'd have a hard time walking away from it if I lost it due to an accident. Transplant car would be almost guaranteed. Kinda like Zahy did in his build thread.

The hood grew on me over time and was necessary for the top mounted SC. I believe it was somewhere around the 400hp mark. It also had stillen high flow cats, stillen full exhaust, stillen front bumper/fmic, rear srut bar and a few other goodies. The seat airbag and pillar both deployed. trust me it was hard to walk away from but unfortunately I had to.

all, I forgot to mention I have come across multiple 2015 Q40's in great shape. any thoughts or differences you might know of? Or possibly any reasoning not to go for a Q40

The Q40 was the G37 Sedan, offered as RWD and AWD. However, Infiniti dropped the Sport Package. Other than that, exact same car.

Edmunds Review

The 2015 Infiniti Q40 is an all-new name for what was previously called the G37 sedan. Naming aside, it returns after a year-long hiatus with essentially the same standard equipment, but much less in the way of options. The old G37's optional Performance wheel package, Interior Accent package and the Sport package have all been eliminated from the lineup, and a manual transmission is no longer available.

Thanks for the input Neal. What consisted of the interior accent package? illuminated kickplates? For about 1,500-2k more and 2 years newer it almost seems smarter to go the Q40 route because the factory warranty will be even longer.. I doubt I will be able to wait around long enough to find the right sport model, just throwing around a few more ideas.

I would just get a regular x unless you can find a good deal on xs. You're really only getting sport seats.

That said, do you need the x? From what everyone says, if you want to x for snow, winter tires will help much more than x + all seasons.

And 18" wheels.

While they're aren't many fans of the duck feet wheels, I think just about everyone would consider them an upgrade over the 17s.

True. But I would personally only consider the xs if it were basically the same price as other regular x models.

If it's like a grand or two more, you may as well just buy new shoes.

Agreed, the 17s are just awful and its surprising they kept them all those years. But yes the x is necessary. I have had cars with rwd+snowtires and they just dont compare to AWD+snows or even a good set of all seasons IMO. I really just wanted the rear spoiler that comes on the S model and the front bumper..

The rear spoiler is an add-on, but so many have it you may have thought it was standard. If you can find one in the matching color they're about $350 give or take.

I knew they were an option, but a lot of them do have it. also is it a different trunk or what do you need to do in order to remove the chrome piece and put the spoiler on? I just assumed it was difficult or you needed to do a little bit of modification to get it to look as it does from the factory

I installed mine myself, it's not real hard but you have to remove the chrome piece and drill some new holes, there are two holes that are drilled outside that chrome area, I didn't do that and my spoiler is still holding tight as day 1 w/ the other fasteners and double sided tape. Here's a link to that, the link is an install without a template (I got a factory part from ebay but was heavily discounted since it didn't have fasteners/templates). The install will be even easier w/ a template, lol~
