Would never buy an ev myself but that looks pretty good considering some of the butchered remakes that have come out in the 2000s. Dodge dart, ford thunderbird, newer trailblazers, supra isn't a bad car but more bmw than Toyota. Bronco remake is actually pretty good and the blazer isn't bad. Some people complain about the newer chargers having 4 doors compared to the old ones but nobody mentions the malibu and impala that haven't had rwd since the 90s and haven't had a v8 offered since 09.
Being that the Prelude was my first car and having seen countless "concepts" by people over the past 16 years this makes me soo giddy. I'm not ready for an EV yet but excited for the potential. The layout looks FWD though which is a bit of a bummer but will hold out hope.

I've always loved the Prelude, too. Driven a few, but never owned one. 5th gen was gorgeous.
Cross-shopped the 4th Gen thirty years ago, but ended up with a 240SX. The Honda just got too pricey to get what I wanted from what was available, whereas the Nissan was just right for me at the time. Zero regrets on the 240SX... 5MT with RWD and very fun to toss around.
Apparently C&D jumped the gun on this EV Prelude... it's not an EV, it's a Hybrid.
That could be cool. Should be one of the first reasonably priced sporty hybrids. Hopefully, it leans more towards sports instead of efficient like the CR-Z. It already looks better than the CR-Z.

A wedge of swiss cheese looks better than the CR-Z.
If the Prelude makes near 300 hp with AWD split between the gas end electric motors, that could be just about right. But if they wimp out and make a Honda Prius, then it's a pass for me.

Did you see somewhere that it was AWD or are you just dreaming?
It's been a long road, but I think I finally found it- a worthy replacement for the amazing driver/car connection you would get driving my heavily modified G37. The Donkervoort F22. It's not the prettiest gal at the ball, but the latest Motortrend article paints a pretty amazing picture of how it drives. The sweet sound of an Audi 5 cylinder engine tuned to the same power of a new Corvette, but in a car with less than half the weight. Power steering, A/C, and ABS brakes? Nope. Those are options. However, 98% of buyers do option the 6 point harnesses because it is capable of 2.15g worth of grip!?! AP racing brakes are standard and it even comes with 10.5 cu. ft. of trunk space. What's not to like? Maybe the fact that it costs $260,000 or that possibly 8 of the 100 made will make it to the U.S. The article is a good read if you often dream of the perfect driver's car like I do. https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/d...-drive-review/
