What vehicle will be a worthy replacement for your sedan when it is time?

It sounds like the new Nissan Z car will not be revealed until 2022 now and not hit the market until 2023. Bummer.

Stinger gets a new 2.5L turbo engine, 300hp/310ftlb torque. I'd still take the 6, but this would be a good balance between power and efficiency (assuming it's efficient).

I was looking forward to trying out a new G70 with the new styling to see if they changed anything else. We got our first 2021 in today and it looks exactly the same?? I guess the new version must not come out until next year. It is still a good looking car, especially with those wheels and the Brembo brakes.

Great looking ride. Anxiously awaiting the test drive and review. Personally, I hope there is a different grill option than all chrome.

I'm so tempted at this price but I hate that it has leatherette. Like, literally none of the other cars even have this option. But the 6-speed! Hell yeah lets put in FAKE LEATHER!

The description says heated and cooled leather seats. Is it not really leather?

So they never offered the 6MT with the more righteous power-train. However, they have a new 2.5L inline 4 coming down the line, but they're discontinuing the 6MT when that happens.
What. The. Fck.

The only saving grace? Conservative JB4 tune. With a +2 spark plug (just in case) and a mild tune, you can get 50-70hp and 80-100ft-lb of torque. This would leave the car in the low 300's for power. This is the optimal range. But I just don't understand Genesis on bringing out the better motor and dropping the 6-speed. Hell why not slave it to the 3.3 and call it a day. That would have been sucked up a lot of sales for anyone not pony'ing up the dough for a M3.

As more and more of what I call "nanny technology" is being pumped into new cars and the fact that many drivers theae days are too lazy- or dumb- to actually drive, it is only inevitable that a true manual transmission will eventually fade away.
Everybody wants to be driven, not drive. Really sad.

Had my 16 year old in the car the other day, and I came out of the hole poorly, and shifted into second poorly. It was just bad. I said out loud to myself, "Well that was messy." And without missing a beat, while her head was buried in her phone, my daughter said, "You're not kidding, old man."
Point being, there's a component of undeniable fun (and in this case, humility) in driving a manual transmission. When it's right, and you hit that sweet acceleration curve with a perfect 2-3 shift, or when you rev-match just at the perfect moment on the downshift into a sweeping turn... there's no automatic transmission on earth that can match the satisfaction, the total engagement, of that moment.
Just saying /rant
Still, 99% sure my next car will have a slushbox.
