Willing to be wrong - talk to me about premium brands that take regular unleaded.
You’re not wrong.
My wife precisely had a V6 Accord, 87 octane was the recommendation. We had looked at the same vintage Acura RDX, same 3.5 V6, same rated horsepower and torque, but the Acura recommend premium.
I never felt Infiniti was anything more than a nicely optioned Nissan. Same in kind for Acura, Lincoln, Caddy. But for some reason, not Lexus. I don't know why.
I'd also say that Lexus is a step above the others as well. New Lincoln seems to offer some really nice packages, though.
The new 2021 Audi RS3 is already out on the streets in prototype form. They also claim that it will be released later this year and could have as much as 444 hp. I was not expecting any of that. I was trying to tell from pictures if they moved the engine further back in the chasis so it would finally handle well, but from the side it still looks like about the same amount of front overhang as the current model. Rats!
Car & Driver thinks the new Z car will be called the 400Z and debut later this year with new emblems. This is really shaping up to be a banner year for new sports car releases.
On the way home from work last night I saw a new white Supra with the low and wide DRL's on and it looks a lot lower, wider, and aggressive in person than in pictures. This picture does not really do it justice, but I was surprised how much better it looks in person. Has anyone else noticed this up close to the car?

Seen a handful. There were 7 at a formula drift event I went to back in October (one of them had that widebody aftermarket kit) and one in my town that is blue. It looks really d*mn ugly inside and outside. I was optimistic it would be good, but I can't get myself to like it. The sound isn't as good as the Yamaha's 2JZ and it just sounds really quiet at idle. They should have at least put in the 2UR-GSE in the Supra instead of the BMW motor that will eventually break sooner or later especially when the tensioners and coolant pumps have been known to be faulty. Never understood the hype of the B58, especially when it chews through oil filters like a madman and the cover gaskets disintegrating like its predecessors. Just a rebadged BMW Z4, made in Austria. Disappointed with Toyota to say the least. Only good thing is they revived the Supra, period. They cut corners and used racecar drivers to help promote this failure of a Supra. Should have just collaborated with Yamaha once more and created a 3JZ or something, but no car companies cater to car enthusiasts anymore.
One more thing, they should have painted the front A pillars to match the body color. Which lunatic designer decided to use black and mismatch the car?

Probably a relative of the guy who decided to do the same thing to the GT-R 12 years ago to try to make the windows blend in and look like a helmet visor.
Just out of curiosity- do you hate every car that isn't an old BMW? (Asking for a friend)

When the GTR came out, I said the exact same thing. Same with the new Maxima. It has black C pillars as well. It's one of the dumbest trends I have seen in my life.
I like a lot of older cars. Can't stand new BMWs. Especially when they're starting to produce them in China now.

Looks better in person no doubt, but I think it requires a widebody kit to make it look better than decent personally.
been looking for a Golf R for a while, finally found the one. stage 1, about 350-360hp, TTRS clutch, manual, and so far i cant even compare it to a G37, way more fun, lighter quicker, feels more premium inside and out. G was fun while it lasted, but it outlived its days for me, its too heavy of a car and it doesnt offer me any joy anymore. so long G community

Congrats! I've had my '19 for almost 20 months and it's been reliable, fuel efficient (for what it is) and fun to drive. I miss the steering feedback compared to the G37S, but that's about it.
Snag a OBDEleven when you get a chance so you can access all the hidden menus and functions.
^^ thanks! yes my car already came with the obdeleven the G37 did have a heavier steering feel which i liked, but i think you get used to the steering feel within a few days and its great too in the R
