Car jerks before full stop

Hey guys my Car jerks right before a full stop.
I would have my foot on the brakes, and right before a full stop, the car will jerk forward just a bit. Nothing that would snap the heads of my passengers, but something that only the driver would feel. This jerking sensation happens right right before the car completely stops. It feels as tho the car changes from 2nd to 1st before the stop I don't know if its the transmission tho. Do you guys know wha the problem might be?

EDIT: When my windows are down I can here sort of a click metallic noise that occurs right when this jerk happens before a complete stop.

have the dealer make sure your transmission software is up to date

I have the same issue you mention with a 2010 G37xS @ 74K miles. It has been doing this since I bought it with 32K. I took it to the dealer in May of 2016 and they said they will update to the latest software if it is needed. I got the car back and did not notice any change. The shifts are slow, making the car feel under-powered as it does not downshift unless I am deep into the gas pedal.

Does your car also make the metallic click noise?

I only notice any jerk mainly in manual mode when slowing down but accelerating right away (just the module adjusting to what you tell it do IMO), also in traffic when you are just accelerating between shifts when the module tells the tranny to shift up or down. As for the sound, what about your pads?

This might be the infamous axle click. There's a TSB out for it.

No. I have been trying to find a place that will the the 3 times drain and flush as recommended in the FSM. I do not trust the dealership to do this since no one dealership agrees on the idea of the lifetime fill etc.

Yeah same. A clicking noise shouldn't relate to transmission problem tho.

I replaced Transmission fluid and resolved the issues with down shift jerking before stop. I'm curious about dealer reprogram transmission to fix this issues.
