Cool Finally got bit by the mod bug..

Sup G Fam,

So I know its not a 37, but i have a 2007 G35 sedan w/ the journey package.

I had done a couple small mods/ upgrades in the past, however I did something big today; got some new shoes for my baby.. They may not be much to some, but to me, they are a nice upgrade from the stock 17" wheels that I just got so bored with over time..
I knew I wanted to stay OEM, so I spent quite some time looking for/ at G35s 18s (tuning forks), 1st gen G35 19" Rays, G37s coupe 19s, Q60s 19s, M45s 19s, and eventually pulled the trigger on a set of some 2009 G37s sedan 18s (duckfeet, as some ppl call them) this evening. They were just too good of a deal to pass on - great tires w/ lots of tread life remaining, and the wheels themselves are nearly in mint condition! Not to mention, the price I paid was pretty much a steal in my opinion ($400)!! Even though it was dark by the time I got home, I still just had to mount them, and boy do they make the car look sweet! (I'll post some pics tmrw when the suns out).

Aside from the wheels, I have installed the diode dynamics 'tail as turn' mod, which utilizes the LED ring (brake light) for the turn signal, rather than the boring halogen bulb in the middle.. I got these for around $40 and would recommend them to anyone. Not only do they make your car look a lot cooler, but they are also super easy to install- literally plug & play - so no wiring/ electrical knowledge required. I'll have to post some pics/ vids of these as well once I get a chance.

I have also ordered some gloss black vinyl to cover the inside parts of the grille (minus the mt. fuji emblem) and leave both the top and bottom as the tinted chrome, to make my own DIY midnight grille. I may also use it to cover the chrome trim on the trunk lid, and possibly the chrome window trim (but thats a huge maybe..

Additionally, I have an appointment with a local tint shop tomorrow to get my existing 35% tint removed & replaced with 20% all around. (My G is obsidian black, and I just feel that black cars look the best with dark tinted windows.)

Anybody have any suggestions for additional mods in the future?

Just as a "disclaimer" - I definitely don't want to lower the car, and want to stay away from exhaust. although, HFCs are a possibility once mine go bad..

Oh, one last thing.. I REALLY want to upgrade at least the drivers seat to the sport seat w/ the thigh extender. I truly regret not buying the G35s I looked at when I bought my car, mainly for that reason. So, if anybody has a lead on a sport seat / seats (in black leather) and could point me in that direction, that would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for the long post, but hopefully someone will be able to help out in one way or another..

Thanks!!
