If you have them reset around the same time, they should be about the same. Just like every non-hybrid, the car doesn't like stop and go. I was pulling about 15 with some ridiculous red lights. I wish the car was lighter. There are things I could do to make it lighter, two piece rotors, lighter wheels, lighter battery, remove the spare and run with half a tank. I haven't done any of those things yet. My 99 Bmw 528i felt lighter on the road, which is almost sad, because while being about the same size, had better bumpers and could probably take small impacts better. I wish that Infiniti had done more to keep the weight down on the car.
I think about getting a Tesla Model 3 when they come out. The fact that the batteries weigh the same whether they are full or empty can be nice, also not having to go out of your way to save .15 a gallon is nice too. Their acceleration is amazing, I had someone next to me take off from about 35 to probably 60 or so almost instantaneous.
I remember test driving a Mazda 6 right before buying my G and I pushed it hard on the freeway, the mileage was 19, normally they should get 35. Those cars are bigger and weight 500 lbs less with close to half the hp esp if you modify your G. I considered buying a Kia Optima Turbo, it is larger and weighs about 350 lbs less. They have less hp, but less lb to pull around. I would have only bought the best equipped one, I just wasn't confident that the engine or trans would last on it. Perhaps if I had known that they would end up replacing everyone's engine..lol.
My G is fun and red lights aren't, there are times when I realize I could have gone through the yellow and suffer with reds. Last weekend, I stopped at a yellow, realizing that it lasted much longer than I expected. Unfortunately around here the lights are timed in sequence, so when you miss one, you miss three. It makes people want to go for it, which the police would love. Being that I have been nicked for red lights, I try to avoid them. Luckily I got out of both of my RL tickets, but the process of being pulled over is far more than I would ever want. Sadly I have seen people outrageously miss the yellow and never gotten caught. The put a delay so hopefully no one will ever get hurt by nicking a red light, but those cameras and cops are out there like sharks for blood.

Takes four fill-ups down and four fill-ups to return. Roughly 50 gallons each way
You'll notice much improved mileage. Reset the display at every fill-up and also do the math calculation by dividing miles traveled for each tank by the gallons to fill the tank. you should see 25 to 27 MPG
Not using cruise control adds roughly 1-2 MPG
Four fill-ups down to Florida, two fill-ups while in Florida with short trips, and four fill-ups on the return to NJ

If you are complaining about poor MPG in stop and go traffic you should have purchased a Prius or a Honda Civic
Telcoman
The computer's analysis of mileage will be consistent, but the average mileage will forever be smoothed out the longer you collect data. If you fear the car is suddenly getting bad mileage, reset your stats. Better yet, do your own math.
The larger picture here is that you have a heavy, mid-sized, luxo-wannabe sedan with a NA engine that puts out way more power than is typical for this class. In other words, you are going to get crappy mileage with a G37. 18 mpg overall average is typical. City-only drivers get much worse than that. Don't expect otherwise.
Hypermiling is a valid hobby, and I get why that would be fun for some people. However, this is the wrong car for that activity. It doesn't make any sense. People who obsessively track gas mileage in this car are ridiculous.

Shoot, I take my car to the dealer for warranty work and I get it back with unrelated stuff broke and the car un-drive-able.

Call me ridiculous I guess... That all said, I am turning about 20 MPG mixed driving and great freeway mileage, of about 29 MPG at 75 MPH.

Anyways I'm just concerned to see if there's something wrong with the car or if it's normal because I normally get 12 or 13 mpg
I'm getting around 12mpg

I live in Brooklyn as well and get about 15.9 after getting familiar with the car.. at first I was getting the same 12.. when I put on the CAI I went down to about 14 bc of a change in driving patterns but after I got over the CAI noises I got back to about 15.9..

I live in Chicago, the suburbs, the speed limit is anywhere from 25-45 mostly. There is traffic that I experience everyday on my commute to and from work. I do about 90% city/suburb (speed varies 35-50) driving. In the cold months, I usually average about 17-19 (270-310 miles per tank) mpg and in the warm months, I usually average about 18-21 (290-345 miles per tank) mpg. I do feel like yours is very low. What is your driving style like? Do you notice any changes in how the car is performing? I suggest resetting the ECU, it may help (to clear the driving patters). Use this, timing is important -
I also have a stillen gen3 ultra long cai and a stillen catback exhuast. I do drive spirited sometimes with a mix of ds mode and auto-manual mode.
Hope this help.
