Anyone have any idea what this is? I heard a popping/banging sound when I was backing out of the garage this morning, almost like I backed into one of the kids bikes or something. When I got out to investigate, I found this thing on the garage floor. I assume it goes to my car. Below are the images and details of my car.

Looks like an exhaust hanger

 

Yeah, looks like it could be a hanger, I see printing on the side, can you ID what it says?

 

It has a the following information on the plastic piece.

and VIETNAM

 

These are what I see the exhaust hangers look like online. (see image). So I'm not really sure if it is that.

 

did you drive after... any noises while driving... have you checked underneath...

 

Seems to be driving fine, haven't gotten any error messages on the dash either. I did a quick glance underneath but haven't had a chance to really give it a good look. Hopefully it's just something that I can find another one and replicate where and what it is supposed to do.

 

It's not an exhaust hanger, it's too small. Looks like a rubber insulator of some sort.

 

Would more than likely be an aftermarket part if it even belongs to your car. Almost all parts for our cars have Nissan stamped on them along w/ the part # that belongs to the Nissan Catalog or no markings on them, certainly not something made in Vietnam AFAIK.

 

that could have been already on the floor... running over it since rubber may have flung it to a panel that caused that banging sound...
