did a few timed 0-60 times and not liking the results

Spend a day a friends house and just bought a 2015 Lexus IS350. He asked if we could test his 0-60 with my torque applications and adapter.

His car was doing 5.9 for most of the runs and got 5.7 as the best.

Later that day I decided to check my G37xS and was really not happy with what I saw.

Most of magazine numbers seems to be around 5.4 - 5.7 ..

Most of the runs I had were in the 6.4 second range, some even as slow as 7. Had to work the car hard to get to 5.9 and couldn't do anything less no matter what I tried.

This was on a 2012 G37xS with 67,000 miles.

The testing was done at approx 300 feet above see level.

Compare the weight of your wheels/tires to the stock setup. Also, try this again when you have a 1/4 tank of gas. Each gallon of gas weighs about 6 lbs.

I have a vid of mine in "D" reaching 60 in 4.8-4.9 range. I'm also in MD so it isn't like the atmosphere would have that much of an effect on it.

Are you shifting manually? If so, don't.

I have tried all possible ways of reaching a better/faster number no luck.

The only thing that I did not do is manual shifts but that wouldn't help anyway.

No, I did not try turning TC off. The road was a little wet. Will have to try that next time.

That might be the problem loss of traction if it was wet. Try on dry roads with vdc off

The magazines (c&d, motortrend, etc) actually start the timer at like 2-3MPH.

The torque app starts timing as soon as you let your foot off the brake, so there is that .5 to 1 second before you actually press the gas to 100%

I timed mine by video once and it was like 5.3. Traction control off..

Don't waste time with the torque app. Get to a drag strip.

Post a video! We can tell you your time lol. Just kidding but really need to take TC off. I turn mine off before I put on my seatbelt.

Also so consider you had a passenger (+200lbs) and the xs is already +3800 lbs without you in it.
