that 400k mile car makes me really want to drive my car more. I bought an old Honda pilot to daily (and haul kids when I have them) to keep the miles on the G under 10k / year. I could not possibly love this car more and will keep it until I (or it) dies. so at 10-15k per year even I have 20+ years left minimum! only at 40,650 miles right now. woohoo!

My 2010 interior still looks brand new on all of the trim at 81k miles. Can't say the same about our 2010 BMW though.

My G has 102000. Never broke down. Been good to me. I only had to replace motor mounts and flex pipes. Besides that, just regular routine maintenance.

I have a 2009 G37s with 143k. I had a heatercore coolant line connector(near the firewall) snap. Antifreeze everywhere. The double nipple connector was very brittle upon inspection. Easy fix cost me a whopping $3.47. Ohhh and a gallon of coolant for $15 bucks.

A two G sedan family. An '08 G35 w/ 121k and a '10 G37 w/ 115k. I bought the latter w/ 114k after gaining confidence owning the first for 9 years.

Guess I'm lucky and unlucky, my 09 sedan is at 97k, unlucky that both the timing cover gaskets and my clutch slave cylinder both blew out, lucky in that I got it done fairly cheap and both of the G's major problems have been addressed. The rest, hopefully, will be maintenance/trivial. Other than those misses, I'd definitely agree that the the G's power plant could easily do 200-300k, I'd be more worried about little other things. Either way, I'm never getting rid of my G, I absolutely love this car

08 G37 with 132k miles now. This thing is really reliable. Only thing that went wrong was I had to change the right catalytic converter at 60k ish miles and that's it. changed all the fluids around 105k milles and spark plugs. still runs great.

No one was able to tell me what was going wrong, as there were no codes, but it acted like an O2 issue. If given throttle input on start, all was fine.
I had that happen once. I think that the computer has warm start and cold start modes and when you haven't been driving much, the car doesn't give it enough (gas, timing, spark) on that warm start. Mine happened when I hadn't driven far, turned the car off, left the car for around 15 mins, it started then died. Only happened once though. My car only has 163k, might be 164k, I haven't checked.

I am a new owner of a 09 G37x with 94k miles. Figures a couple weeks after I bought it the drivers side cat went out. I have all the maintenance records though and the car was really well taken care of, so I expect good things. Plan on keeping it until 400k

I've owned my '12 for over 2 years and put about 25k on it. It had the works done before I bought it, transmission fluid, differentials, full brake job, etc. Since then just kept up with the fluid maintenance and did a belt job not long ago. The brakes while still nearly 100% after 20-30k in terms of thickness (hard to believe I know, but they measured the carbon on the pad a month or two ago), I believe the rotors have warped and it does shudder just a bit under heavy braking. This is what caused the previous owner to do the brake job (was under the tech description on the maintenance printout), so leads me to believe it's inherent with these rotors. Also happened to my wife's 2011 Murano FWIW.

Other than the brakes (which I plan on overhauling with something aftermarket when eventually needed) and general maintenance (I'd consider battery maintenance, just one), I did have a leaking bank on my VCGs that was covered under the powertrain warranty not long ago either. I have about a year of that left. Looked like they would've charged $1,500 to fix it.

Also needed a new starter which was covered under warranty, I believe that one would've been around $4-500, however it was right after I bought it so I can't remember 100%.

This is an annoyance and the tech today actually told me "I CAN HEAR IT!", but there has been this rattle that has developed in my dash board that I can't get to without getting in there. Hopefully they get it today since she verified she can hear it.

Also, this is annoying tool but there is this damn wind noise at 80mph when I'm driving into the wind. It's a whistling noise and it comes from the passenger side window/mirror. If I ever find a solution I'll sure as hell put it on this board.

All in I think it's as solid car you can get for the money.
