Sedan or coupe

Sedan or coupe
So I have my 2013 g37 sedan. I like the sedan but for some reason I just really wish I purchased a coupe. Anyone out there want to tell me I am stupid and get the thought out of my mind? I have a kid in a booster seat. Will the 2 door really be all that annoying? How is the leg room up front if people are in back?

I actually had a coupe and sold it for my sedan because I had a baby I'll tell you I loved my coupe and miss it a lot but to be honest I don't see myself with a coupe and a baby because it's a hassle. The sedan is so much more comfortable to get the baby in and out and trust me you will have a diaper bag most likely and whatever else you have and you will see how much you will appreciate those extra doors. I'm finally making my sedan fun by adding bolt ons so I don't make it feel like it's a boring car ;-)

if i say the first ever GT-R was actually a sedan would that make you feel better? or that the first ever racing Skyline was also a sedan. An R33 GTR sedan was also released by Nissan, probably as a sedan racing tradition, who knows.

Way back in 2008, I had a G37 in my sights as Next Car. I very distinctly remember being in the Infiniti showroom, drooling over the 2008 G37 Coupe. I was in automotive love.
Then I squeezed into the back seat, and thought, "This isn't so bad." Until I tried to get out of the back seat. That bit of undignified gymnastics was the deal-breaker for me, because I had a family with two growing girls.
The Coupe is truly a two-person car. And much in the same way as the 370Z, you don't feel so much that your *on* the car, more like you're "in" it, if you follow my meaning. The Coupe surrounds you, and it can be kind of an unpleasant feeling.

I was somewhat in your position about 3 weeks ago. Deciding between a Genesis coupe and the G sedan. I drove the genesis first and enjoyed it very much. It was sporty and like Rochester said, you were engulfed by the car. That being said, it was a much rougher ride with the stiffer suspension and I let my fiancé drive as I sat in the back seat and it. was. awful. Pretty sure any future babies wouldn't make it through one ride due to shaken baby syndrome.I rationalized it would just be me and her for the majority of rides and the kids would be fine but when I drove the G sedan after we both looked at each other and she said "this is the one." I couldn't have agreed more. With kids in the future plans those back seats will be glorious. I even saw the same comparison on the Pontiac forums when we were shopping between a G8 and GTO and every body seemed to side G8 for the backseat. In the G's case, you're not sacrificing any speed really and you can modify a sedan to handle and drive like a coup and sharpen its looks if that's what you're looking for. Also, the idea of children and my fiancé's safety entered the equation and the added benefit of AWD really gives me peace of mind if she's ever driving it in bad weather. Not necessary but I want my family to be safe at the end of the day and have every advantage when driving. Sorry for the long post but felt as though I could share what my considerations were when shopping. Good luck with the decision.

Also, the rear doors open 90 deg, which is awesome for helping little ones in & out. Better access than my 2008 RDX which I sold to buy the G sedan. No regrets

I planned on buying a sedan so I could put 20s on it and a decent aftermarket sound system. I checked a couple out. Then I drove a coupe, thinking to myself that it would be fun to take for a spin but I'd get back to the sedan search after. Needless to say, one trip with the coupe and I quickly changed my mind. I have an accord for the winter anyway. 😆
also I don't have any kids and live with reasonably few responsibilities

I once had a two-door 1986 Dodge Charger and I promised to myself it'd be the last car with fewer than four doors which I would ever own. Getting in and out from the rear seat was absolutely not fun.
The G37 Coupe looks weird to me from the side. I so much prefer the look of my 2013 G37S M6 Sedan.
