Just pulled the trigger on a new exhaust

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share with you I just ordered a new exhaust from GT Haus-Meisterschaft GTS Exhaust. It will be my first mod on the G. I had it for 5 years and finally modding it.

Will post pictures and videos when it is installed.

SS or Ti? I mean, both are mind-numbingly expensive, but I don't think I've ever seen someone install a Ti Meisterschaft on the forum before.

Either way, congrats. You get a bucket-load of bragging points with that exhaust.

It was the stainless exhaust. I was not considering a full Titanium exhaust. It was expensive for the full straight mid-pipe and y.pipe.

No doubt. But it's all relative. The rationale that kept you from considering Titanium hardware is the same rationale that keeps people from choosing GT-Haus in the first place. It's a lot of exhaust-money for this class of car, IMO.

I only remember one other person here in the last few years who got this exhaust. Hang on, here it is:

Just those tips alone set this off as something special.

Nice you will like this exhaust, it has that unique sound to it and makes heads turn. Something to keep in mind with future mods, IMO it doesn't pair well with RHFC's.

You'll love it. I had it on my G back in the day and it was hands down the best exhaust ever. Unlike a lot of other exhausts like Fast Intentions the GTHaus is actually a lot quieter when cruising when you're not accelerating. I was spoiled with it to the point that when I put a axle back on my Lexus I was extremely disappointed because the sound quality was nowhere near the level of the GTHaus.

The video that Rochester posted was actually my G the day I had the GTHaus installed. I only had it paired with the R2C intakes at that time, but I can tell you that if you have it paired with the Takeda cold air intake and the M370 manifold with stock cats (resonated or non resonated cats will cause it to become a lot more raspy and it won't sound nearly as good) deepened the sound quite a bit. That exhaust was one of the major things I missed about my G when I sold it, but it is going to be one of the first things I do to my Q50 RS400 in a couple of months.

Enjoy it, I know you will.

Here's another video.

Moreso you than the car, because its not just anyone who would drive... what was it, 800 miles? - just to hang for an afternoon at out first car meet. I regret that your Meisterscaft came and went so quickly that we didn't get the chance to have you show it off. Kenny is coordinating the 2017 Meet, you and Chris ought to consider another epic road trip. The event includes Coupes and Verts now. I'm quite sure a Red Sport Q50S AWD would get lots of attention.

Happy New Year.

Haha it was a good trip, I still talk about it to this day. I'd be willing to drive again to the next one! As long as it's not part of our blackout days for work. Hopefully I'll have the GTHaus installed by then.

Happy New Year to you too! Hope the family is doing well.

Gratz for the sweet exhaust you got there. I always find the price for GThaust system is unjustifiable no matter how many pros it has.

For all the sedan owners, did you guys had to cut off the middle metal piece of the straight pipe that welded 2 pipes together?

I didn't have to. It was a close fit to rubbing against the body, which I was concerned about. But once all of the bolts and nuts and tightened on the exhaust there wasn't much play up and down no matter how hard we pushed up on the mid pipe it never hit the bottom of the car. I'll see if I can find a picture of mine.

Edit: I take it back. I had a little bit of running on the heat shield, but nothing too serious.
